BCC cell

Certain buried metal structures must be earthed. The natural operation of cathodic protection is often incompatible with an earth connection.

In order to overcome this problem which can be detrimental to the structure, the BCC cell was developed to be installed between the structure and the earthing.

This is a direct current blocking cell. It is intended to block direct cathodic protection currents while occasionally allowing alternating components such as phase faults coming from motors/probes or other equipment present on the network to pass (certificate of operation by the LCIE).

Point flow power AC 50Hz: 600V - 45A.

Permanent blocking of direct currents for a voltage between -3.6V and +1.2V.
